The I AM Scholarship recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence and significant community service involvement.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • High senior attending a school in the greater metropolitan Indianapolis area

iPROMISE

The iPromise Scholarship is a non-traditional scholarship that encourages African American women who are at least 25 years old to obtain their first undergraduate degree. Funds may be used for tuition, room and board, books, fees, supplies or personal items.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • African American female who is at least 25 years old

  • Must reside in the greater metropolitan Indianapolis area

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.

EVELYN “MIMI”
RATCLIFFE

The Evelyn “Mimi” Ratcliffe Scholarship recognizes outstanding students who are pursing an undergraduate degree in K-12 education.

 

Mimi Ratcliffe was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an educator in the Detroit Public Schools for over 40 years.  She was well known and loved for the dramatic productions she conducted at schools and within the Detroit community.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • High senior attending a school in the greater metropolitan Indianapolis area

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Accepted at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.

  • Plans to major in education

EMERGE

The EMERGE Scholarship recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated continuous academic improvement while overcoming adversity during their high school career and will enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university. 

 

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • High senior attending a school in the greater metropolitan Indianapolis area

  • Increase GPA over the previous year

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Accepted at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.

Maleka S. Jackson HBCU

The Maleka S. Jackson HBCU Scholarship provides support to current college students attending a historically black college or university.

 

The scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Maleka S. Jackson, who was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a proud graduate of Tennessee State University. 

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Has completed at least 12 credit hours

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Currently enrolled at an HBCU in the U.S.
